Instructions:

  1.  Place ground beef into a large bowl.  Add the onions, Worcestershire  sauce, and salt and pepper.  Mix the meat and seasonings together with clean hands until the meat comes together.

  1.  Form the burgers into 6 large patties.  Sprinkle both sides liberally with the garlic salt. Place the burgers on a flat baking pan.

  1. Make the marinade by combining the olive oil and the lemon juice.  Place  into a large measuring cup and stir until well combined.  Brush burgers with the marinade, flipping gently to marinade both sides.  Place the burgers back on the baking pan and take to grill.

  1. Grill the burgers about 6 to 8 minutes on both sides, basting with the olive oil/ mixture often during the grilling.  During the last few minutes, baste the burgers with barbecue sauce.

  1. Continue to grill burgers until desired doneness.  Complete grilling when burgers become glazed with the barbecue sauce, about another 5 minutes on each side.  Remove burgers back to baking pan.

  1. Assemble burgers on toasted sesame seed buns, using tomato slices, leaf lettuce, fresh onion, and pepperoncini.  Makes 8 burgers.
