Mr. Pepper’s Comes Along

Hello Everyone! To inform you of Mr. Peppers, I must first tell you that we have moved from our home in Troy, Missouri, to Brazil, Indiana. This move will no doubt be the last move in the Chapter of our lives. We have two sons who live here, along with their families, and they, along with our daughter, decided we are getting old, and that we will need help in our future years. As of this writing, we seem to be helping them. Since I like to cook, I am hosting the Sunday dinners for the entire family, making all of their favorite desserts, and sometimes running their errands. Life continues to happen, and I must thank God for the energy he has given to me. Bill, on the other hand, is moving a little slower than I am, but he is doing well and enjoys the new adventure. There is plenty of excitement to fill our lives; the wonderful New Life Fellowship Church, pastored by our son, Jeffrey Harpole, provides us an outstanding church family, a newly planted rose garden housing 15 freshly planted roses, and a beautiful front porch with two wicker rockers.

And then there is Mr. Peppers, our Havanese puppy, who seems to be very comfortable with the move. In our lovely red brick home, the living room sports a very large picture window. Our couch sits right in front of the window, and so does Mr. Peppers. If you happen to be driving by, you will see him perched on the back of the couch surveilling the outdoors. At any time we may hear an outburst of warning. Walkers, UPS carrier, children on bicycles, or any such attraction fulfills his watchdog duties. He is still very energetic, full of bounce, and always keeping us running.

So, now that we are all settled in, I will be posting many new recipes and letting you know where I will be book signing. If ever in the city of Brazil, IN, please stop in and give a holler’. God bless you all, and keep moving!
